Over 400 cross-country skiers competed in this year’s 2020 L.L. Bean U.S. Cross Country Championships which spanned five days and consisted of four races varying in techniques and distances. The event allows the nation’s top athletes to compete for spots on the World Cup circuit. . Former Minneapolis Southwest High School skier and 2018 Olympian Rosie Frankowski (pictured) took over our Instagram last week to showcase the event - Her story can be found in our Instagram Highlights. She placed 7th in the Women’s 10K Freestyle race and 5th in the the Women’s 20K Classic race, despite being sick with the stomach flu. She also climbed her way to a 6th place finish in the Women’s Classic Sprint race, a surprisingly exciting result considering she is best known for her long-distance skiing. . “I can safely say I gave it my all,” said @frankowitz “I wish I could have been in prime fighting shape to give it a real go, but I am proud of what I could accomplish under the conditions.” . 📷: @skinn...
