Instead of looking for the “best country”, I want them to look for the best parts of a country. 🫶 And before you think this is a “I hate my country post” it’s not. I love where we live and still choose to raise my kids here. I’ve started a business here, enjoy lots of freedoms, etc. Rather it’s a “I don’t want my kids growing up thinking their country is the best country in every way” post. I feel like thats what I thought growing up and then when I started really traveling as an adult, I started to realize how backwards my thinking was. It’s not a contest and it was small minded of me to think my country was the best and all other countries should just do what we’re doing. I want to encourage my kids to be great global citizens and find beauty wherever they travel. I want them to have open minds. I want them to appreciate differences.
