Chinook salmon 🤝 flooded rice fields. We’re partnering with stakeholders from the Bridge Group and releasing nearly one million juvenile salmon fry into flooded rice fields near the Yolo Bypass in California. These young fish will spend time growing in the nutrient-rich rice fields before entering the Sacramento River and beginning their journey to the Pacific Ocean. Research has shown that rice fields provide essential nutrients and abundant food resources that help juvenile salmon thrive and grow.
