Two DUI Drivers Cross Deputies’ Path, Same Street, Same Hour Around 2 a.m. Sunday, deputies were handling a call for service near 8th St and Newhall Avenue in Newhall when a suspected drunk driver struck their parked patrol vehicles. While deputies were arresting that driver, another intoxicated driver drove through the scene and nearly struck one of the deputies. Incidents like this show just how dangerous driving under the influence can be. Impaired drivers put everyone at risk, including deputies and other first responders working on the roadway.
