HoneyBaked Hockey Club is excited to announce Matt Rust as our 10U Head Coach for 2026–27. Matt brings an elite hockey resume and a coaching style that supports our 10U players. A HoneyBaked alum, Matt was selected in the fourth round (No. 101 overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers (later traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in March 2010). He also spent two seasons with the U.S. National Team Development Program. Matt played at the University of Michigan, serving as an alternate captain his senior year and was recognized multiple times for his academic excellence (including Academic All-Big Ten and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar).
