500 voices. 500 testimonies that will never let us forget. Following the end of the World War II, around 20,000 people were evacuated from Nazi concentration camps to Sweden. Testimonies from 500 of these Holocaust survivors make up the Swedish Ravensbrück Archive, together with personal belongings such as letters, photographs and notebooks. Most of the interviewees were women who had been imprisoned at Ravensbrück, a concentration camp in Germany built specifically for women and children. Their testimonies bear witness to the atrocities of the Holocaust and the strength of those who survived. 🏛️ The Ravensbrück Archive is preserved at Lund University Library in south Sweden.
