The show opened with a barefoot boy in white pushing open a heavy oak door, symbolising Simon Porte Jacquemus’s tender return to childhood and his family’s Southern French roots. Inspired by Provençal rural life, calisson-shaped jupons, cord-stitched tulle and inverted tulle aprons transformed rustic craftsmanship into poetic luxury.
