Consistency builds momentum. That’s my new mantra. I’ve made content before and even had success with it, but my standards were too high and my process was too complicated. Eventually, creating started to feel more stressful than fun. I wanted every piece to be perfect because it felt like it represented me. But honestly, I’d rather make 52 quick and dirty pieces in a year than 5 polished videos in two months. Same thing happened with running. When I started almost 2 years ago, I could barely get through 3 miles without walking. But I kept showing up. I ran at least once a week with my local run group and slowly built some momentum. Now I’m running 16 miles without walking and logging 40 to 50 miles a week as I train for my first marathon later this month.
