🌍 Lakeysha Graças de Deus, our 2024 Schwartz Fellow, just spent a year uplifting education in Angola.   Growing up between Angola and the United States, Lakeysha witnessed firsthand how access to quality education changes everything. For her fellowship, she worked with 12 schools across different provinces, tailoring her efforts to the issues she found facing each one.   At last week’s Schwartz Fellow Symposium, she was able to share her experience with her pennstate community. During her year-long fellowship, Lakeysha repaired walls and ceilings, restored bathrooms, purchased teaching materials, and connected with teachers and students to learn from their experiences. Through her work, she hopes to evolve the education system in Angola to give students both skills and hope.   Now a first-year law student at georgetownlawofficial focusing on international trade and development, Lakeysha dreams of opening her own school in Angola one day.    Link in bio to read her full story 📖   #Sch...
