tw: preeclampsia today my sweet little aarya is 2 weeks old and i’m still struggling to wrap my mind around the events of the past few weeks. everything was so sudden, so scary and so fast but i’m just so blessed we all came out stronger on the other side. baby aarya is doing better and better each day despite popping into this world 7 weeks early. she lives up to the meaning of her name (warrior) and we’re hoping she’ll be home soon. but until then she’s in the care of an amazing medical team and we’re lucky we get to visit, care and play with her as much as we want. as for me, i constantly think back to that friday 2 weeks ago thinking i was going in for a normal checkup. so eternally grateful for my docs who picked up on my symptoms of severe preeclampsia and sent me straight to the hospital where i had an emergency c section. after my doc delivered aarya safely, she told me that if i had waited any longer i would’ve suffered kidney damage or even failure. afterwards my stay a...
