ad January (and let’s be honest… February too) always has me feeling a bit… down in the gutter 😅
Is it just me, or does anyone else really struggle with the lack of light, greenery and sunshine at this time of year?
So naturally, I leaned into it and used a gutter to make a planter. A few trailing plants later and suddenly my kitchen shelf feels alive again 🌿
I’ve been craving that natural, lived-in feeling at home this winter, and a little wander into marksandspencer absolutely sealed the deal. These ceramics honestly stopped me in my tracks – they feel like they’ve been sculpted by nature itself. That ruffle jug (£25), those mugs… I just had to bring them home. And the little wooden stool for £15? Completely stole my heart.
I know some people love hunkering down and fully embracing wintering, and I’m trying… but I’ll be honest, I just needed these plants to take the edge off. I’m already dreaming of getting back out into the garden.
