ad I’d been brewing up an idea for a while, and this mirror felt like the perfect excuse to finally make it happen.
I’ve always loved the idea of turning dried flowers into art — so off came the glass, in went the chicken wire, and I started weaving in dried Wheat and Cornflowers like some kind of botanical tapestry wizard. It began to look shockingly like a Monet (if I do say so myself… and I do).
But why stop there?
I added fresh flowers beneath to make it look like they were spilling out of the frame — Hydrangea heads formed a base, and Ranunculus and Gerberas rose up like they had somewhere fabulous to be. Oh — and Tulips, of course. I love reflexing their petals this time of year — they go from cottagecore to tropical goddess real quick.
Flowers just have that magic — elegance, colour, a bit of drama... everything I aspire to be, really.
Loved making this with the fab howflowersdothat 💐
Hope it inspires you to turn a little street treasure into something bloomin’ beau...
