I completely messed up and it’s come at a bit of a cost but one that will be worth it in the long run!
When we first started converting this old chapel I thought the best place for the kitchen would be on a long stretch of wall space which housed an old ropy wood burner. I didn’t think we’d need a wood burner not having one before it didn’t cross my mind how amazing they are !!
Anyway... fast forward the chapel gets very cold in winter with it being a big, tall old building.
I kinda had to bite the bullet and fess up that I made a big design mistake, we’re now switching the kitchen and lounge around to reinstate the fireplace !
The kitchen wasn’t my dream kitchen anyway, it was within our budget at the time and a bit modern for the Edwardian chapel. We removed the worktops and cupboards with care and it’s actually been reused in someone else’s rectory renovation so a total win win !
Our new kitchen is a total DIY...
Stay tuned for part 2!
I’m actually so excited to share what we’ve ...
