There’s been a lot of requests to see how I painted my checked flower wall 💕🌸💜 so here’s how I did it:- . Paint the base coat with the lighter shade, then mark out squares or rectangles with a spirit level and a pencil (mine measure 14 x 23cm). Use ‘Frog Tape for Delicate Surfaces’ (so it doesn’t pull any base coat paint off) and tape out the checks like I did in the video. Use the darker shade to paint each alternate check (two coats) and pull off the tape whilst the second coat is still slightly wet. I painted a mix of solid flowers and outline flowers sporadically over the checks and then painted on the flower centres. It takes a bit of patience, but it’s pretty simple and effective. .
