We had an inkling the original shutters were concealed behind these boards after finding other windows in our house had been given a similar treatment...80’s why was this ever a thing ?! It was a total joy restoring this window and giving it the handles it truly deserved. I used corstonarchitecturaldetail solid brass ‘southbank’ range with a beautiful matching window stay! I couldn’t forget about those beautiful shutters so used the ‘Barlow furniture knob’ to really set them off. I love how authentic these final touches feel, they are so timeless with perfect proportions and finishes. Adding solid brass has elevated my windows and shutters so much, they now feel so considered and special.
