ad| 🍋 Behind the scenes of my ‘Amalfi Lemon’ theme with by_spode Before the table is even set I try and think about the bigger picture and how I want my guests to feel in that moment. I wanted this tablescape to be immersive, transporting my family to the Italian coast ! I loved the idea of us all being nestled beneath a lemon tree which I achieved using a branch from my garden, I attached real lemons using gardening wire and supported the canopy on an egg chair frame. Now to add more drama using a tablecloth as the first layer to showcase the striking Steccato collection by Spode. 💙 I used Spode’s other iconic range ‘blue Italian’ to add depth with a contrasting pattern. For me that’s what a tablescape is all about, layers and textures which dazzle your guests before the food has even been served.
