Often we're taught that hard sciences and social sciences shouldn't mix, but chemcsu's Akiko Nakamura hopes to change that. In a pilot program supported by #ColoradoState's Office of Inclusive Excellence, Nakamura is hoping to help faculty add #DEIJ and #socialsciences discussion into core science curriculum. “The ability for students to visualize themselves within their future career and discipline in addition to seeing that the environment is inclusive and welcoming cannot be understated,” noted Nakamura. “We are excited to make strides to narrow the gap between social sciences and traditional sciences through this pilot program.” Read more about this important work in our latest #RamsShapeScience story - link in bio!
