Love and Other Brain Experiments is a STEM academic rivals-to-lovers romcom that takes place in New York during a conference they’re both attending, after a chance meeting on their seven-hour turbulent flight. The Characters: Dr. Frances Silberstein is a very talented neuroscientist who is determined to make it on her own after declining a job offer from her boss and ex-boyfriend years ago when she was a grad student. Dr. Lewis North is a fellow recognized leading neuroscientist and has been keeping tabs on Frances’ career through some pretty critical comments on her research.
