After starting the season 12-3, Mizzou women’s basketball is 1-6 in conference play, ranking near the bottom of the Southeastern Conference in many defensive categories. Although not all of these issues can be solved mid-season, a tweak to the starting lineup would be the place to start.
Making Jayla Smith a starter would improve Kellie Harper’s squad in a loaded conference with a plethora of high scorers.
