We had a heck of a game playing out last week between Mount Vernon and Mamaroneck when a series of late-game whistles raised eyebrows and voices. There were objections from both sides. While the calls did not impact the Knights' 57-56 comeback win as much as the Tigers' missed free throws and untimely turnovers, it would've been nice to see a request for a third official be honored. Even a casual observer can see how much bigger, faster and stronger the Class AAA contenders are.
