Armed Felon Stopped Before Entering SCV An observant SCV Sheriff’s deputy recognized a vehicle traveling on the I-5 freeway in the Gorman area as being associated with a felony assault warrant issued by San Bernardino County. A traffic stop was conducted and during the field investigation, two loaded firearms were located inside the suspect’s SUV. The suspect was determined to be a convicted felon. The 45-year-old male from Victorville was arrested and booked on multiple felony charges, including being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed and loaded firearm inside a vehicle in a public place, and possession of a firearm not registered to the individual. This traffic stop occurred at the northern edge of our jurisdiction in Gorman, reflecting the proactive work of our resident deputies assigned to the area.
