The Wildcats built early momentum in the first half with an 18ā4 run sparked by back-to-back three-pointers from Jasper Johnson, briefly pushing the lead to 10. Mississippi struggled offensively, shooting just 25% in the half and scoring its lowest first-half total of the season, 23 points, though AJ Storr accounted for nearly half of that.
