EXTREME COLD = REAL DANGER FOR DOGS ❄️
When temperatures drop, our responsibility rises. No pet should suffer in freezing weather.
✔️ Bring them indoors
Freezing temps can be deadly for dogs left chained or penned outside—and for cats left outdoors. If it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them.
✔️ Gear up
Use warm coats, secure harnesses, and booties for short outings. Remove wet gear immediately and keep walks brief—especially for short-haired dogs.
✔️ Don’t forget wildlife
Help birds and wildlife by providing fresh water in a heavy, non-metal bowl. Break ice daily so they can drink safely.
✔️ Call for help
If you see dogs chained or penned outside 24/7 or without proper shelter, note the exact location and contact local law enforcement immediately. Speaking up can save a life.
Together, we can protect those who can’t speak for themselves.
Stay warm. Stay aware. Stay compassionate. ❤️
