One thing I struggled with when my sister passed was the feeling that I couldn’t save her. I couldn’t help her. I failed as an older sister. As the eldest of 3 sisters, I was mini mom when mom was busy.
I know I couldn’t have prevented the car accident, but my thought process was if I had called her back that might have changed the timing of when she got on the road, the timing of when the other car was on the road.
In the short 20 years that she was here, she taught me how to make the most of life and experiences as we are not guaranteed tomorrow. Her passion for cooking and art was inspiring and her desire to life fully was infectious.
I believe my love for coaching and helping others stemmed from feeling like I couldn’t help her or save her, so maybe I can help others, through fitness and movement, to work through their struggles and set backs.
She taught me to keep fighting and keep pushing even when shit gets hard. She’s no longer here with me, so I honor her my continuing ...
