On paper, it made sense. In reality, it felt wrong in ways I couldn’t ignore. Two months later, I was back on the search, asking better questions and finally admitting what I actually wanted. I wanted to be creating the content but I wanted to do it in-house (a forever retainer, if you will). So I started looking at job boards until I found an opening with one of Las Vegas’ oldest hospitality groups. Even then, it wasn’t straightforward.
