Our first day in Yemen… Is probably not what you or I expected. Our flight was canceled because Yemenia Airways, the country’s main airline, has only 2 working planes and flies to just 9 countries worldwide. To put it in perspective, 3 out of our 4 flights with them were either delayed or canceled. Unfortunately, it reflects the state of a country that’s been in a civil war since 2015. Nevertheless, I’m incredibly grateful we ended up getting stuck. It gave us the chance to document a country that’s so often misunderstood by the world. Despite everything they’ve been through, the people continue to show warmth, strength, and an unshakable spirit. #yemen #aden #middleeast #storytelling #travel
