She has been suffering abuse at the hands of her non-Muslim family, who burned her hijabs and abayas, leaving her with nothing to wear in accordance with her faith. They have also forced her to break her fast and threatened her with deportation if she doesn’t leave Islam. During this holy month, she deserves to fast, pray, and dress in a way that aligns with her beliefs-without fear.
