LIONS CHARGE PAST EDISON: The jserrahockey team put the finishing touches on a standout regular season on Friday, as the Lions defeated the Edison Chargers 7-1 in the ADHSHL regular season finale at Great Park Ice and FivePoint Arena in Irvine. The Lions finish out the regular season at 17-2 and will next take to the ice for postseason play next month. Juniors Griffin Blake and Caden Fernandez recorded power play goals in the first period to stake JSerra to a 2-0 lead. Blake added his second power play goal at the 15:48 mark of the second period to push the lead to 3-0. Freshman Kyle Bennett scored his team-leading 34th goal of the season with 9:01 left in the period to make it 4-0. Blake completed his hat trick with a short-handed goal less than three minutes later, his 26th of the season.
