A very successful collegiate career playing for Iowa Men's Basketball included matchups with current teammate Xavier Tillman at Michigan State. After becoming the 'Big Ten's best basketball player' during his run and later being drafted to the Detroit Pistons, Luka's brought all his learnings to Beantown, where he's carved out a critical role off the bench. His ability to dominate the offensive glass with reliable outside shooting is the product of working with his father, Frank Garza, to improve his game at all levels.
Garza comes from a decorated sports family on both sides. Frank played collegiately at Idaho, while his Bosniak mother, Šejla Muftić, played professionally in Europe.
