Matt and I spoke in deep personal detail about this scene from The Smashing Machine - and it moved me emotionally to know how much it moved him emotionally as well. I love Matt, he’s a good man, one of my inspirations and I can’t wait to work with him one day. Matt and I talked about emotional scars. And allowing yourself the grace and tenderness to rip them open from time to time. It hurts, but in life, pain can be a good thing. A healing thing.
