It is with immense pride and excitement that I share a historic achievement for Rockford University. Our Women’s Flag Football team made history as the first collegiate program in the state of Illinois—and they did so in spectacular fashion! Invited by the Chicago Bears to play in the first-ever collegiate Flag Football game in the state our Regents rose to the occasion with determination, skill, and teamwork. In a dominant performance on Saturday March 8th, they defeated Benedictine University with an impressive 32-0 victory! This moment is more than just a win on the scoreboard—it’s a testament to the pioneering spirit of our student-athletes and the unwavering support of our coaches, staff, and the entire Rockford University community.
