Four Greater Cincinnati chefs and one bar owner have been named semifinalists for the 2026 James Beard Awards. The restaurant and chef award nominees were announced Wednesday morning on the James Beard Foundation's website. They include three nominees for Best Chef; Great Lakes, which include Ohio, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. Among them are Sarah Dworak, owner and chef of Sudova, Downtown, Hideki Harada, owner and chef at Kiki, in Clifton, and Jeff Harris, the owner and chef of Nolia Kitchen, in Over the Rhine. In the Outstanding Beverage Professional, Mike Stankovich, owner of Longfellow Bar and Mid-City Restaurant, is also a semifinalist. In Northern Kentucky, David Willocks, the chef and owner of Baker's Table, in Newport, was nominated in the category of Best Chef Southeast, which includes Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.
