For decades, the biggest rivalry in college basketball has been recorded on the pages of The Daily Tar Heel at UNC and The Chronicle at Duke.⁠ ⁠ Over the week leading up to the year’s first Tar Heel/Blue Devil showdown, The DTH and The Chron compete in an annual challenge of their own to see who can raise the most funds for their student newsrooms. ⁠ ⁠ The Rivalry Challenge concept is simple — the newsroom that raises the most money is declared the winner.
