Did you know a Raider was reporting from college football’s biggest stage last month? Zach Osterman, Riverwood Class of 2005, is a sports reporter covering IU athletics for the Indianapolis Star. Zach’s journalism career started right here at Riverwood with Raider’s Digest, a school publication where he served for three years, including two as sports editor. He was also a member of the Raider football and track teams, and served for four years as a team manager, running stats and equipment for both the boys basketball and girls soccer teams. Journalism runs in the family. Zach’s father, Jim, also a Riverwood alum (Class of 1974), was a sportswriter for the Marietta Daily Journal before working for Creative Loafing and Adweek Magazine. Watching his father sparked Zach’s interest in the profession and led him to Indiana University, where he pursued sports journalism.
