3rd and 4th graders at Asa Messer Elementary welcomed two special guests to their music classes last week: master percussionists Balla Kouyaté and Matchume Zango! Through workshops including call and response singing, bucket drumming, and dance, students embodied rhythms and melodies from artists' homelands of Mali and Mozambique.
