Got the W today (finally) with a 2 and 1 win over mattingramgolf 🧊 - it was a tough match and lots of drama. Got ahead after and up and down front nine we came on to the 18 green (our 9th hole/ back nine Start) and dropped a beautiful left to right bomb from 40 feet! To win the front 1 up. I found myself 2 down on the back after a Matt birdied 3 and i doubled 5 😔 BUT Matty opened the door on number 6 wity a chunky approach from 80 yards that cane way short of the green, when he couldn’t come up and down to save par I was only one down and i had to make my move and apply pressure any way possible. I finish with a scrambling par on 7, solid par on 8 to close out the match strong 2 & 1. The final hole was an important omen as Matt tried to salvage and not lose the back line as he had pressed our bet, but after leaving myself 52 yards on my approach, I stuck my pitch shot to 2 feet to for a tap in birdie putting all the pressure on Matty to make his eagle putt to have a chance.
