{Archives(ish) · 2025 · NWSL · Bay FC vs. Washington Spirit} Growing up as a fan of women’s soccer and women’s sports always felt like a struggle. Every time a new pro league launched, it seemed to disappear just a few years later, and finding games on TV felt nearly impossible. Fast forward to today, the NWSL is thriving, and the growth across women’s sports has been incredible to witness. Records are being broken, the talent keeps leveling up, and the future has never looked brighter. A few months ago I had the opportunity to photograph Bay FC and Washington Spirit in front of 40,000 fans at Oracle Park. It was the largest crowd ever for a women’s sporting event in the United States. Seeing how far the league and the sport have come, and getting to play even a small part in it, was truly a dream come true. I’m grateful the world is finally catching up.
