Ifunanya Nwangene, a 26 year old singer and architect who captured hearts on season three of The Voice Nigeria, has passed away after being bitten by a snake while asleep in her Abuja residence. According to reports from BBC Africa and her choir, Amemuso Choir, Ifunanya woke after the bite and sought medical help, but antivenom was unavailable at the first clinic she visited. She was later taken to a hospital, where she sadly passed away. Two snakes were reportedly found in her home following the incident.
