This is EXACTLY why: It’s probably not because your work is bad. Most photographers I see stuck in the same place are doing one thing really consistently — they’re posting finished work and expecting growth to come from that alone. The problem is, Instagram doesn’t know who your photos are for or why someone should care yet. To the algorithm, a clean photo without context looks the same as every other clean photo. What actually changed things for me was shifting how I showed my work. I stopped posting just outcomes and started sharing the thinking behind them. Why I stood where I stood. What I missed. What I learned. What changed from one game to the next. People don’t follow because you’re talented. They follow because they understand you.
