BREAKING UPDATE: A 20-year-old Hauppauge man was charged with driving while intoxicated after the crash that killed an off-duty Nassau County police officer near the Smith Haven Mall.
Patricia Espinosa was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was pronounced dead. She was 42.
