The Resurrection Christian School girls’ golf team hosted its first-ever invitational at RainDance National today as 19 teams competed under sunny skies ☀
The Cougars took ninth with a three-person score of 273 (57-over), 40 strokes behind winner Mountain Vista.
RCS freshman Karina Garcia shot the lowest round on the team as she placed 22nd out of 75 with an 88 (16-over). Senior teammate Rylee Collins was one stroke behind her in a tie for 23rd with an 89 (17-over). Senior Sophie Dammarell tied for 33rd with a 96 (24-over), and freshman Avery Stockslager tied for 40th with a 99 (27-over).
Three junior varsity players competed in the event as well with freshman Karis Reichardt and junior Quincey Pike both tying for 50th with a 108 (36-over), junior CharlieJen Malone was 53rd with a 111, and freshman Faith Garcia was 61st with a 120 (48-over).
The team will return to the links on Monday to compete in the Cougar Invitational. Way to go ladies!
