In a world marked by both voluntary migration and the painful history of forced displacement, I am blessed to carry with me a deep connection to and understanding of the gifts of my lineage. My grandmother came from a long line of travelling performers who journeyed through life supported by their talents as dancers, drummers, storytellers and musicians. My upcoming album ‘How Should I...’ is a gift to my grandmother.
