Here are some red flags to watch for when evaluating a collaboration: 1️⃣ The email starts with “Hey Dear” or “Hey @yourhandle”—a clear sign of mass outreach. 2️⃣ They ask you to pay for shipping or products upfront—no legit brand should make you pay to work with them. 3️⃣ They offer ‘exposure’ or affiliate options instead of real compensation—exposure doesn’t pay the bills! 4️⃣ The brand has little to no online presence or reviews—sketchy much? 5️⃣ The email username doesn’t match the brand name or official domain—be wary of emails that end in @gmail.com when they claim to be from a big brand.
