Congratulations to Gisella Kagy, Consumer Science assistant professor and the Global Human Ecology & 4W Faculty Fellow, for receiving a seed grant through the University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Demography and Ecology to fund a project called “AI-Assisted Radiology in Ghana: Augmenting Scarce Expertise to Transform Healthcare Delivery in Sub-Saharan Africa.” The project, which will evaluate the impact of integrating a multimodal AI diagnostic support tool in Ghana's healthcare system, will take place in early 2026 and is a collaboration with UW–Madison Economics Professor Laura Schechter. #HumanEcology #ConsumerScience
