Wrapping up the semester strong 💪 Human Development & Family Studies (HDFS) students hosted science fair-style presentations for their capstone course. In the spacious Interactive Learning Lab, students talked with visitors about their projects geared toward their future careers. The capstone course is an opportunity for students to dive deeper into a topic of interest and develop research-based solutions. Ronnie Porter x'26 (photo 2) created a support toolkit for kids whose siblings are receiving ongoing medical care. Along with the toolkit, Porter organized a Ronald McDonald House pizza night to help kids going through medical treatments and their families participate in a fun activity that feels normal. Porter has been volunteering with Ronald McDonald House since freshman year, while balancing practices and games as a student athlete on the Wisconsin Women's Basketball team.
