Let's celebrate🎉 Maria Freese @maria_freese, #TFD Major in SoHE for #NationalInternDay! Maria is a design🎨 intern at Pia Nepal. A recent project included designing & producing a collection of 6 cushions using hand-spun, natural linen cloth. Maria was also encouraged to find a way to incorporate screen printing into her designs, and used inspirations from temples🛕 & wood carvings she observed in the ancient cities of Kathmandu, Bhaktupar, & Lalitpur. Maria shared that one of the most important & influential parts of her internship experience was the people she met in Nepal. The people there are incredibly kind, caring, & protective. Nepal has taught her so much about herself, the world🌎, & what her future holds. And, part of that future, she shares, definitely includes returning to Nepal🧳!
