Now who actually likes seeds in their watermelons!? Since seedless watermelon seeds contain no pollen, we include a white, large seed in each packet to act as a pollinator.
🍉 If you’re growing in rows, arrange them in this order: pollinator, seedless, seedless, pollinator, seedless, seedless, etc.
🍉 If you’re growing in mounds, put the non-pollinator seed in the middle with three pollinator seeds around it.
🍉 Once your seedless watermelon grow to be about the size of a baseball, it’s time to remove the pollinator plants. The pollinator plants will grow too big in size and will eventually dominate the seedless plant if not removed.
There is plenty of time to still direct sow.
