To understand where tech is going next, you have to understand ASML and TSMC
The physical boundaries of computing are decided by a specialized partnership in the hardware supply chain…
ASML: Think of this as the Precision Layer. Everything starts with lithography. ASML is currently shipping High-NA EUV scanners, $400M machines that use a 13.5nm wavelength to bypass the diffraction limits of light. Without this specific hardware, the industry’s transition to the 2-nanometer node wouldn’t be possible.
TSMC: Think of this as the manufacturing bridge. Owning the tools is one thing; scaling them is another. TSMC takes digital blueprints for the Nvidia Blackwell B200 and Apple M4 and translates them into physical silicon.
This is a symbiotic loop: ASML provides the lithographic precision, while TSMC provides the specialized expertise to make the designs from Apple and Nvidia a reality. In the semiconductor stack, one cannot grow without the other.
