Happy First Day of School to our little popular preschooler! The number of parents that came up to me this morning and told me their child was “so excited to see Jaxson” has me tickled! Are we raising a future homecoming king?! Jaxson has been so excited for his first day back since we went to his orientation last week, but this morning, he put two and two together that we wouldn’t actually be staying with him today and told us he wanted to go home instead because he would miss us 🥹 He went on to tell us that he was feeling “a little bit nervous and shy,” and honestly, I was impressed with how he was able to vocalize it being only 2 years old. I hope that he always feels comfortable sharing his feelings. In a world where men are still so often taught to be stoic, I want to raise a young man and who knows he’s allowed to have feelings too.
