LIONS SURGE PAST EAGLES IN FINALE: The jserraboyssoccer team detonated an explosive response to an early deficit on Tuesday, as the Lions overwhelmed the Santa Margarita Eagles 6-2 in the Trinity League and regular season finale at Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita. JSerra finishes the regular season at 7-4-3 overall and 5-3-2 in league. It was a tale of two halves within the first half of the clash between the Lions and Eagles. Santa Margarita struck for two goals in the first 17 minutes to assume a 2-0 lead. But JSerra answered emphatically in the final 20 minutes preceding halftime. Junior Hudson Garner cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 20th minute, as he knocked a shot into the far post corner of the goal on an attacking run off an assist from junior Aquiles Rodriguez.
